The IPC is an intergovernmental organization of pepper producing countries that was founded in 1972 under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP).
The American Spice Trade Association (ASTA) is an American trade association for companies importing, processing and distributing food spices that was founded in 1907 by 55 'founding fathers'.
The Sustainable Spices Initiative (SSI) is founded in 2012 by the Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH) with the aim to transform the mainstream spice industry into a more sustainable market.
The Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform (SAI Platform) is the global food and drink industry platform for developing sustainable agriculture solutions through member-driven pre-competitive collaboration. SAI Platform works with its members and external stakeholders to catalyse change and establish sustainable agriculture as a pre-requisite for doing business throughout the food and drink industry supply chain.
